electronics is used in this work. There is just a motor which moves a slide
backwards and forwards. A scalpel is pivoted on the slide so the blade moves
across the stone.
You might expect the sound of the blade on the stone to be like scraping a sharp object down a black board but in fact it sounds more like breathing with effort.
