In
this work, made of wood, aluminium and pneumatic and electronic components, the
observer's movement is sensed by a PIR detector. When a person's movement is
detected, the articulated wooden structure comes down very violently to the
position shown in the photograph. It bounces up and down energetically for a
while after which it elegantly erects itself again until the next movement is
detected.
